The June topic of (*1*)Kodansha‘s Be Love journal revealed on Saturday that Daisuke Igarashi will launch a serialization of the Kamakura Bakeneko Kurabu (Kamakura Monster Cat Club) manga throughout the journal’s subsequent topic on June 1.


Igarashi debuted the one-shot mannequin of the manga in Be Love in October 2021. The manga services on a story centered on folks, cats, and bakeneko, a sort of supernatural shapeshifting cat in Japanese of us fantasy.

(*1*)Seven Seas Entertainment simply recently licensed Igarashi’s Witches (Majo) manga and launched it in a single omnibus amount on April 19. (*1*)Shogakukan printed the two volumes of the manga in 2004 and 2005.

Igarashi launched the Children of the Sea (Kaijū no Kodomo) manga in (*1*)Shogakukan‘s IKKI journal in 2007, and ended it in 2011. (*1*)Shogakukan printed 5 compiled e ebook volumes for the manga, and (*1*)Viz Media printed all 5 volumes in English. The manga earned nominations and awards of excellence from the thirty eighth Japan Cartoonist Awards, the American Library Association’s Young Adult Library Services Association, the School Library Journal, and the thirteenth Japan Media Arts Festival Awards.

The manga impressed an anime film adaptation by (*1*)Studio 4°C in June 2019.
