Warner Bros. Japan started streaming a video that includes the opening scene from the live-action movie of Toshio Sako‘s Usogui (The Lie Eater) manga on Friday. The scene reveals Madarame (Ryūsei Yokohama) having a bet with Sōichi Kiruma (Kaito Sakurai) to change into the pinnacle of the Kakerō group, with a wager {that a} airplane will fly overhead inside an hour. Kiruma’s lackeys engineer the wager, Madarame loses, and Kiruma decides his destiny.

The movie opened on February 11. A companion live-action four-episode net sequence titled Usogui -Kurama Ranko-hen/Kaji Takaomi-hen- (The Lie Eater -Ranko Kurama’s Story/Takaomi Kaji’s Story) started streaming on the dTV streaming service on the identical day.

The movie ranked at #5 in its opening weekend.

Sako started the Usogui manga in 2006, and ended it in December 2017. The manga has 49 volumes. The primary manga impressed an authentic video animation (OVA) bundled with the manga’s twenty sixth quantity in 2012.
