The team behind the TV anime by writer Rocket Shokai and artist Nakashima723 for Scum of the Brave (Yūsha no Kuzu) has just released its fourth promotional video and unveiled a third key visual on Wednesday. The clip gives a glimpse of the climactic showdown between Shinigami Yashiro and Lord Storm Coffin.

In an alternate 21st‑century world, wealthy mafia figures can become “Demon Kings” via a popular ether‑enhancement surgery, and the bounty hunters known as “Braves” are tasked with bringing them down. Yashiro only cares about simple pleasures—pizza, beer, and card games. When three young Braves offer him a hefty sum to be their private tutor, he accepts for the money—though he may soon wonder whether it’s worth the trouble.

The series premiered on NTV and its network affiliates on January 10 at 24:55 (effectively January 11 at 00:55). It streams first on D‑Anime and Hulu, followed by other platforms, and also airs on the AT‑X channel. The show runs for two uninterrupted cours (roughly six months). Crunchyroll streams the series concurrently with its Japanese broadcast.
The manga, which debuted in 2018, is available digitally via LEED Publishing’s Comic Border service. Its eighth volume was released on December 18.
Creator Rocket Shokai (known for Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004) originally launched the story on Kakuyomu in February 2016. The series is now being re‑released as a revised novel edition, featuring illustrations by toi8. The second volume of this edition shipped on February 20.
