Background

The remake was first announced at Jump Festa ’24 in December 2023, marking the 25th anniversary of the anime. It will “start from” the East Blue Saga, though the exact scope beyond that remains unconfirmed.

  • Toei Animation announced a reduction to a maximum of 26 episodes per year beginning in 2026.
  • The Egghead arc aired in early 2024, paused for a “recharge” period, and resumed in April 2025.
  • During the Egghead break, a 21‑episode abridged version of the Fish‑Man Island arc, titled One Piece Log: Fish‑Man Island Saga, was broadcast.
  • The live‑action adaptation One Piece: Into the Grand Line debuted on Netflix in March 2025, with a second season released in March 2026 and a third slated for 2027.
