Animate revealed on Monday that it’s set to launch a brand‑new, directly operated store on the third floor of One Ayala mall in Makati, Metro Manila, with an opening slated for later this year.
The retailer’s newest overseas outpost is its Hong Kong location, which opened back in December 2025.
Beyond Japan, Animate has experimented with pop‑up shops worldwide and now boasts permanent locations in several markets: five in China (counting the Hong Kong shop), three in Taiwan, two in Thailand, one in South Korea, and one in California, USA. Meanwhile, a Kuala Lumpur pop‑up that launched in Malaysia reopened as a permanent fixture in October 2025.
