Anime Expo confirmed on Monday that the celebrated musicians ALI and Yōko Kanno will join the roster for the J‑POP SOUND CAPSULE @ AX 2026 music showcase, rounding out an already stellar lineup. The event also features the girl group Roselia, the rock outfit SPYAIR, and vocalist Yoko Takahashi.

The J‑POP SOUND CAPSULE @ AX 2026 is scheduled for July 2, running from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. PDT at the Crypto.com Arena. Tickets went on sale on May 5.
In addition to the concert, this year’s Anime Expo will host a “DWANGO‑powered JAPAN MUSIC VOCALOID” showcase on July 4. The lineup includes Hachiōji‑P, kz (Livetune), picco, SatapanP, and TeddyLoid. Admission is included with the regular Expo badge—no extra ticket required.
The convention will also present the first official North American screening of the classic anime film The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? on July 5 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
BIGWEST is set to run a Macross panel on July 2 at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
