The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s manga Daemons of the Shadow Realm (Yomi no Tsugai) announced on Sunday that veteran voice actor Shinichirō Miki will portray Ivan Yosano, a mysterious daemon user who makes his debut in episode 6.
Story Premise
Square Enix Manga & Books is releasing the manga in English. The series follows:
In a remote mountain village guarded by two stone statues, young Yuru lives a simple life with his twin sister Asa. Asa, however, is confined to a cage and performs a mysterious “duty” for the village. Why is she imprisoned, and what secrets does their seemingly peaceful home conceal?

Broadcast Details
The series premiered on April 4 across multiple Japanese networks, including Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, Hokkaido TV, Aomori Broadcasting, Miyagi TV, Sakuranbo TV, TV‑U Fukushima, and Television Niigata Network. It will run for two consecutive cours (≈ six months).
Crunchyroll streamed the first episodes worldwide and now offers a same‑day English dub for the series.
Source Material
Arakawa, famed for Fullmetal Alchemist and Silver Spoon, launched Yomi no Tsugai in Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan in December 2021. The 12th tankōbon was released on March 12, 2026.
