The official website for the TV anime adaptation of writer Kei Misawa and artist Natsu Mizuno’s series The Duke’s Son Claims He Won’t Love Me Yet Showers Me with Adoration (original manga “Kimi o Koi Suru Ki wa Nai” to Itta Jiki Kōshaku‑sama ga Nazeka Dekiai Shitekimasu) announced two additional cast members on Wednesday. Veteran voice actors Daisuke Namikawa and Mariko Kouda will portray the parents of protagonist Elsa and her younger brother Hannes Eukrainen:

Flex Comix’s synopsis for the manga reads:
Elsa, the daughter of a once‑noble family, receives an unexpected marriage proposal from the elite noble Julius. “Why would someone as distinguished as him want to marry me?” she wonders. After the wedding, however, Julius’s gentle demeanor vanishes. In a cold tone, he tells her, “I have no intention of loving you.”

Veteran director Hitoyuki Matsui (known for Dokkoida?! and Puppet Master Sakon) leads the production at Zero‑G, with technical direction by Kaoru Suzuki. Series‑script supervision is handled by Tomoko Konparu, while character designs are by Yūko Yahiro. The music is composed by MICHIRU, and sound production is provided by Saber Links.
The series is set to debut in July on TV Asahi and BS Asahi.
Misawa and Mizuno originally launched the series on the BookLive digital bookstore in February 2021. Flex Comix released the fifth manga volume on March 13 and also offers the title in English through various digital platforms.
