Abrams ComicArts‘ Kana imprint announced Monday that it has picked up Tsubonari‘s manga Antengai: Twilight Metropolis (also known as Antengai Gensō Kiroku) and plans to release it in English starting in spring 2027.
The story is set in Antengai, a solitary island city that belongs to no nation and remains isolated from the outside world. In this law‑less urban sprawl, humans coexist with ayakashi—supernatural beings. The series follows a variety of residents as they each chase the truth hidden within the city and grapple with the price they’re willing to pay to uncover it.
Tsubonari originally serialized the manga in Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha’s Comic Ruelle platform in 2018, with the first collected volume released that August.
A sequel, Antengai Kisō Yakyoku, appeared in Comic Ruelle in 2021, followed by a third series, Antengai Rasen Sōki, which ran from 2022 to 2023 and saw its volume published in May 2024.
