Story Synopsis (from Kodansha USA)
High‑schoolers Chiharu Saeki and Wataru Toda share a passion for movies. After Chiharu confesses his love, Wataru claims he’s unfazed. As they spend the summer visiting iconic film locations together, Wataru begins to wonder if his indifference is genuine—or if his feelings might actually be mutual.
Manga Background
The series is adapted from Nagisa Furuya’s boys‑love manga The Summer of You, serialized in gateau (Ichijinsha) from 2017‑2019. The first volume, Kimi wa Natsu no Naka (My Summer of You), was released in 2017, followed by limited‑edition sequels in 2019, 2022, and July 2025. Manga Planet added the title to its catalog in 2023.
