Guess what? The webtoon-based live-action hit Moving is officially gearing up for round two! Production kicked off on season 2 this Monday, and they even shared a fun script reading video to celebrate.
When the first season dropped, it absolutely crushed it—becoming the most-watched Korean original on Hulu in the US during its debut week, while also topping the charts across Asia-Pacific on Disney+. Talk about a strong start!
Season 2 picks up with those super-powered folks who tried to go back to normal life after the “Jungwon High School incident,” only to find new trouble brewing. The best part? Original creator Kang-full is back at the helm, writing the script just like he did for season one.
You’ll see plenty of familiar faces returning: Seung-ryong Ryu, Hyo-joo Han, In-sung Cho, Tae-hyun Cha, Seung-beom Ryu, Yoon-jung Go, Do-hoon Kim, Sung-kyun Kim, Dal-gi Shim, Sung-keun Moon, Jong-soo Kim, Byung-eun Park, Shin-rok Kim, Ho-jung Lee, Gwang-jae Park, Guk-hee Kim, Hee-won Kim, Jae-hwi Shin, and Han-sol Park.
And the gang’s getting some fresh blood too! Newcomers Gyu-bin Won, Kyung-gu Sol, Hee-jun Lee, Hye-young Ryu, Yoon-seo Roh, Sung-kyu Kim, Geon-woo Kim, and Yoon-ji Choi are joining the mix, which should bring some exciting new dynamics to the story.
No official release date has been announced just yet, but the buzz is definitely building.
For those who haven’t dipped their toes in yet, Moving is based on Kang-full’s popular webtoon. It follows students with secret superpowers and their parents—who are hiding their own pasts—as they face off against big threats that span generations. The first season, which came out in 2023, starred Seung-ryong Ryu, Hyo-joo Han, In-sung Jo, and Tae-hyun Cha, and really helped put Disney+’s Korean original dramas on the map.
