English‑language readers can follow the series through J‑Novel Club, which is releasing the light novels in English. The publisher describes the premise:

If a girl teases you, that means she likes you!
Unfortunately, Akiteru knows from experience that isn’t the case. Because every girl he interacts with shows him nothing but scorn, and he hasn’t scored a single date from it! Luckily, he’s more focused on securing a spot for himself and his game‑development buddies at his uncle’s business. But when his uncle imposes a condition that involves pretending to be his daughter’s boyfriend, Akiteru has no choice but to comply.
What will his best friend’s sister Iroha, who relentlessly bullies him, think of this news?

The manga adaptation is illustrated by Hira Hiraoka and is serialized on Square Enix’s Manga UP! website, with an English digital release handled by Manga UP! Global.

The original light novel debuted in April 2019 with illustrations by tomari, and SB Creative published the 11th volume in March 2025.

The series inspired a television anime that premiered on October 4, 2021 on TV Asahi and 23 affiliate stations in the “NUMAnimation” block. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired.
