New Cast for “Hokuto no Ken – Fist of the North Star” Anime

Who’s joining the show?
Three new voice actors were announced for episode 8 of the upcoming Hokuto no Ken – Fist of the North Star anime:
- Kaori Ishihara as **Taki**, a boy from the village where Bat once lived.
- Sayuri Sadaoka as **Toyo**, an elderly woman from Taki’s village.
- Takashi Matsuyama as **Jackal**, a hostile antagonist who attacks the settlement.

Series premise
The story unfolds in a post‑apocalyptic wasteland where **Kenshiro**, a master of the deadly martial art Hokuto Shinken, roams the ruins protecting the weak from ruthless thugs. He clashes with rival masters and his own “brother” **Raoh**, who has declared himself king of the new world.

Music
The opening theme “Hallelujah” is performed by Alexandros. The ending theme is a remix of the classic “Ai o Torimodose!!” (originally by Crystal King) performed by Toshl.
Broadcast & streaming
The series premiered on Tokyo MX and BS11 on April 10 (25:00 JST, i.e., 1:00 a.m. on April 11). It is also streaming worldwide via Amazon Prime Video.
Legacy
Fist of the North Star originally ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1983‑1988. Viz Media began re‑releasing the manga in 2021. The classic TV anime aired for two seasons (1984‑1988) with 152 episodes and has spawned numerous spin‑offs, films, and adaptations.
