The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Shinya Misu announced on Tuesday that his manga You Can’t Be In a Rom‑Com with Your Childhood Friends! (Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai) will wrap up in just three more chapters.
Kodansha‘s K MANGA service publishes the series in English and describes the premise as follows:
Hero, an ordinary high‑school boy, faces a dilemma: his two childhood friends, Shio and Akari, attend the same school and are unbelievably cute. He’s convinced they only see him as a friend and would be mortified if they discovered his true feelings. Meanwhile, the girls are hiding their own secrets… Enjoy a sweet yet frustrating love triangle as long‑time friends struggle to be honest with one another!
Misu first launched the series on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket web platform in March 2022. Kodansha later released the 20th collected volume on May 8.
The manga received an anime adaptation that premiered on January 5. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired and also provided an English dub for the final arc.
