The official site for the TV anime adaptation of Tadashi Agi and Shū Okimoto’s manga Kami no Shizuku announced on Wednesday that the dance‑vocal unit SUPER★DRAGON will perform the second opening theme “Call Me Asap,” while singer‑songwriter eill will sing the second ending “Every Summer.” Both tracks will accompany the series’ second half.
The main cast includes:

- Kazuya Kamenashi as Shizuku Kanzaki
- Maaya Uchida as Miyabi Shinohara
- Banjō Ginga as Yutaka Kanzaki
- Lynn as Sara
- Akihiko Ishizumi as Kawarage
- Sōshirō Hori as Chōsuke Honma
- Konomi Kohara as Laurent
Veteran director Kenji Itoso (known for Aquarion: Myth of Emotions and Santa Company) leads the project at Satelight, in partnership with YANCHESTER. Yū Mitsuru supervises and writes the scripts, Takehiro Suwa handles character design, and Eishi Segawa composes the score.
The series debuted in April and is slated for a six‑month run. Crunchyroll streams the show simultaneously in Japan across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the CIS, and also offers an English dub.
Siblings Shin and Yuko Kibayashi—writing together as Tadashi Agi—originally launched the Drops of God manga with artist Shū Okimoto in Kodansha’s Morning magazine back in 2004. A live‑action drama aired in 2009, and the manga concluded in June 2014, with its final volume released in July 2014. Comixology and Kodansha USA later issued the series digitally in English.
The story also inspired a multilingual live‑action series on Apple TV+ (now simply Apple TV) in 2023, followed by a second season that premiered on January 21, 2025.
In May 2015, a sequel manga titled Marriage: Kami no Shizuku Saishūshō (also known as Drops of God: Mariage) began serialization and wrapped up in October 2020 after six chapters. Kodansha USA has since released the “Mariage” arc digitally in English.
Most recently, the duo launched a second sequel, Kami no Shizuku deuxième, in Kodansha’s Morning magazine in September 2023; it concluded in April 2024.
