Piccoma Expands Into Short‑Form Anime

The Viridescent Tiara, The Reincarnated Assassin Is a Swordmaster, Post‑Possession Damage Control, Jack Be Invincible, Why Yuria Hid Her Wealth, Destined to Be an Outcast are the first titles to receive anime adaptations on the new platform.

Piccoma, a Kakao subsidiary, announced on 27 April that it will launch a dedicated short‑form animation category called “ANIME” in late May. The service, branded “Watch Piccoma,” will extend the app’s existing focus on comics and novels to serialized video content.

Six web‑toons are already slated for anime adaptations:

All titles originated on Piccoma as manga, webtoons, or web novels. Their production will blend AI‑assisted workflows with human creative oversight to ensure quality.

The service will follow Piccoma’s existing episode‑based monetization model: users can rent single episodes or watch selected episodes for free after a 23‑hour “wait until free” period.

While the anime will be exclusive to the Piccoma app, preview videos for each of the six series are available on Piccoma’s website.
